The Family and Tradition
The Hodžić family, spanning three generations, resides in the village of Grahovo in the Rožaje municipality. The family includes grandparents Jusuf and Elmaza, their son Ermin, his wife Sabina, and their two children. The primary activity of the Hodžić family is beekeeping, a long-standing family tradition. Additionally, they produce homemade juices and offer handmade souvenirs crafted by granny Elmaza.
Location and Surroundings
Their household is situated near an enchanting natural lake worth visiting. The nearby village of Lučice features ruins of a small church and remnants of an ancient graveyard. A few kilometers away lies Vrelo Ibra, a natural gem rich in vegetation, as well as the Hajla mountain, a popular tourist attraction. A road suitable for biking and enjoying nature passes by the Hodžić household, and a mountain river, Grahovača, flows nearby, adding to the serene atmosphere. The village is also located on the thematic route of Pešter Pastures.
Guest Accommodation and Amenities
The household welcomes guests from April to November, offering accommodation with a total of six beds across three rooms: one room with a double bed, one with two beds, and another with three beds, all sharing a single bathroom. Guests can enjoy homemade, traditional food, including bread, pies, masenica (a type of baked dough dipped in melted butter and cheese), kačamak, fish, barbecue, and homemade juices.
Rural Activities and Services
Visitors can participate in various rural activities depending on the season, such as collecting mushrooms in May, mowing in June, picking tea herbs in July, and preparing firewood in October. Additional services include transfers, participation in culinary classes, and camping.
Special Conditions
Special conditions for a comfortable stay include the absence of internet, availability of a TV, provision of bed sheets and towels, allowance of pets, and the absence of a washing machine. The household uses English and Norwegian languages for communication.
