Located in Berane, Polimski Museum is a vital center of cultural activities, dedicated to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the area with support from local authorities. The museum takes pride in its permanent exhibition, which is divided into three main sections: archaeological, historical, and ethnographic. These sections house the most valuable museum artifacts. The collection includes around 10,000 items, featuring extensive numismatic, heraldic, and artistic collections, as well as a collection of weapons. Special emphasis is placed on church books, icons, and works by artists of various styles.
Art Gallery and Exhibitions
Polimski Museum boasts an 82 m² gallery used for hosting various art exhibitions throughout the year. Up to ten different exhibitions are held annually, enriched by the works of prominent academic painters from Berane. The gallery also includes the Milomir Mišo Popović legacy, consisting of 210 artistic works donated to the museum. An additional exhibition space, a 35 m² hall, further contributes to the diversity of artistic events.
